Fishing guide review Fort Lauderdale Fl

I'm going to give these guys a 4 star, and I do mean a 4 star. Obviously, there will be some complaints. First off, we got a heck of a deal for two guys to have a private charter for 5 hours. Gino and Andy were the crew members that helped us out. Andy was laid back and all about the fishing. Gino, feisty but fun (he's rough around the edges but a good guy). The waters were calm so, fishing for the big ones were going to be hard. We only took about 45 min to bait fish, and we caught a lot of them. Within the first 20 minutes of casting out, we caught our first Mahi Mahi, and within 5 minutes after that, we caught our second. The crew said they were trophies (both were around 15-20lbs and 43 inches long). Literally, within 5-10 minutes after catching the second Mahi Mahi, my buddy caught a horse eye jack it was about 35 inches. Finally caught a small barracuda after that. Fishing was slow as the afternoon went on, but we were happy.

My buddies and I took a sport fishing trip out of Fort Lauderdale last weekend and had a great time! I have been fishing in different parts of florida and never experienced a more friendly and competent crew. The trip started out with our limit of kingfish and three nice blackfin tunas on the reef. Then we trolled offshore to an area where there are some shipwrecks. Offshore fishing was productive too, as we landed two 15 lb. dolphin. One big amberjack on a wreck and it was time to go home. Bought a gift certificate for my husband's birthday gift and it was such a great idea! He took out quite a few friends, 5 or 6 and they ALL caught fish and couldn't say enough great things about the experience. They said the crew was hard working and knew exactly what they were doing. I even got to cook up one of their catches, a wahoo and it was delicious! Great gift idea ladies!
